BOWW LOVES FURR

Pony tail girl // Navy // Shaggy Ivory // Ivory Furry // Heavy Collar // Two Toned // Rocker Chick // Cheetah

Don't throw red paint on me PETA lovers, I just love a good fur coat. Since the weather has dropped in the Grand Canyon State I've been an eying a fur coat. I've been on the hunt just about every day. It's almost like a sickness I've caught. Every other day I'm finding a new one I want. Any of these furry friends will get you through the holidays this year. Wear a fur coat with a simple tee and skinny jeans or over your holiday dress. The fur coat adds a little funk, glam, and sophistication to any outfit. Throw on some layered necklaces and keep your make up simple. When you are wearing such a statement piece, I like to keep other elements of my look clean.

Which one is your favorite? I can't decide...so help me please! xx

OUTFIT REPEATER --UT OHH

Top // Skirt // Chunky Necklace - Similar // Gold Necklace // Lips

The statement of my blog is that I hope to inspire my readers to mix up their clothes in their closet and to explore their local city. This outfit is a prime example of mixing clothing items laying in your closet. I wore this shirt here and the skirt with the matching top here. The best part of matching co-ords is that they can be worn multiple ways. We spontaneously met my parents for dinner on Saturday night at the Montelucia Resort. I had to get out of the house quickly and somehow pulled this outfit out of my butt. When you have to make quick decisions sometimes you get the best results.
P.s. The skirt & shirt I'm wearing are both on sale! yayy!

BLUE YELLOW AND RED ALL OVER

 Top -- similar // Skirt // Clutch // Bracelet-- Similar  // Sunnies // Shoes -- Similar

When Brandon and I were taking these photos I kept moving and dancing around so these are the few photos that weren't blurry and washed out. Lesson learned. Next time I'm doubling checking the photos before we hop back in the air conditioned car. Also, these are the few photos that don't show my fat butt. When I tried this skirt on at Nordstrom, it looked great with the matching crop top. However, when I was rushing to leave the house this weekend I didn't notice that the skirt was so puffy, giving me an even bigger butt than I already have.
Lesson learned--again! That is two lessons in 1 day, whew! I'm exhausted.

Also, I just wanted to let you guys know that I have been in this awkward stage with my voice on the blog. I want to be real with my readers but also want to be professional and sometimes those two things don't always mix. I hope I make you laugh and don't sound cookie cutter, blah or boring. I want my writing to sound like I'm talking to one of my best friends. So hold on tight and come along for the ride as I try to find myself and how I fit into this blogging world. xxoo

RED RED WINE

Red has never been a color I've been drawn too. My skin tone has red and pink tones already in it so I never found red to be a good color on me. However, I am slowly incorporating the color into my wardrobe. It all started with this Asos Jumpsuit. When I saw it online I knew I had to pick it up. The structure and color will be a perfect transition piece into fall. I see myself wearing this at a holiday party or in the office with a blazer. Also, this Burberry cross body is a great accessory to add a bit of red into your wardrobe.
Talk to ya later, I'll be adding some red into this chicks closet.
Thanks for stopping by! xox

MODERN

How was your weekend? I had a fab time being productive. One of those weekends that just feels so good because you actually get stuff done. It was minor things, like going grocery shopping, cleaning the house, and getting some exercise in but sometimes I need those productive weekends to make the lazy ones taste so much sweeter.

Lets talk fashion. I love these high wasted Zara shorts. Remember this post? (It is one of my favorites!) The cut of the shorts make my legs look thinner and I'm all about that. Also, it gave me a chance to style this Topshop crop top with it. The top and the bottoms are very structured but they work well together.
Oh and did you see these Zara shorts are on sale & they have them in Navy. Eekk my fav!

NAVY BLUE

Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear any season.  Navy reminds me of my dad's construction company because that is the color of his logo. The color reminds me of all the work he has done for the company and our family. Navy also represents strength and valor in our American military. I never noticed how much the color meant to me until I just wrote down all the reasons. In fashion, the color is chic and sophisticated but also likes to have a little fun.  Navy is Black's crazy step sister. If you pay attention closely you'll be surprised how many combinations you can do with the color Navy. Just like this eyeshadow palette, you can mix mustard (ahh love this color for fall), green, and silver with navy. As we transition into fall... Okay scratch that. Arizona has at least two more months of heat so I'm not pulling the knit sweaters out anytime soon. However! I still like to get in the spirit of pumpkin spiced lattes and booties. For a smooth, Arizona fall transition, I will be focusing on Navy instead of that boring old black. Get a little crazy, and add a little navy into to your life-- trust me she won't disappoint.

TOPSHOP TWO PIECE

 Top // Bottoms // Shoes  // Purse - Similar

Yup, wearing Topshop...again. I love their edgy, simple lines, and I can't seem to help myself. I have been looking for a two piece outfit for some time now. When I saw this color block suit I knew I had to have it. I love the colors because they remind me of my blog. Also, best part of the two piece suit is that I can wear each piece multiple ways.

Have any of you watched House of Cards on Netflix? We just finished season 1 and started season 2, ahh we are addicted! Normally, I watch comedies so I'm happy to switch it up with a drama. I think we will watch Game of Thrones or Orange is the New Black after we finish season 2 of House of Cards.
Thanks for stopping by.

ENJOY THE MOMENT

Dress (Topshop)- Similar & love this  // Birks // Sunnies // Lip // Necklace-Similar  // Bracelet // Purse

Ahhh, I love Denver. The people, the breweries, and the crazy weather are specatcular. Wanna know something funny? I started this blog to become more connected on the internet world however, I find myself pulling back more and more. When we saw Dierks Bentley on Wednesday, I really wanted to enjoy the moment. Therefore, I kept my phone camera away for most of the night and really paid attention to the details. The weather was cloudy and sprinkled on and off, which was a pleasant change from the Arizona heat. We spent the weekend with good friends and I didn't want to take that for granted. Every time we come back from a vacation, I wonder if I really took in the culture and adventure the city had to offer. This trip, I did just that! Brandon and I had so much fun running around the city even though the only cloud in the sky that day seemed to keep following us around. We kept laughing because we couldn't get away from the cloud and in the distance the sky was clear. Whether you have a 'cloud' following you around and you're going through a rough time, enjoy the moment. The sky is always clear in the distance.

P.S. I'm really excited that I finally packed well this trip. Even though I travel often, I am the worst packer. Normally, I find myself only wearing 1 third of the items in my suitcase. Yet, this trip I stuck with 3 pairs of shoes: workout shoes for the gym or a hike, booties for the concert or going out, and my birks for walking around the city. I worked my clothes around those three pairs of shoes and called it a day! What are your packing tips? Spill! :)

FOURTH OF JULY READY

Bust out your red, white, & blue, get your spray tan, paints your nails red, and stop eating carbs because 4th of July is this Friday! 4th of July is spent eating too many hotdogs, drinking too many beers,  & taking time to remember our founding fathers.

I have gathered three different outfit ideas to fit your personality & your Fourth of July plans. Whether you'll be spending your holiday at a rooftop party or at a family BBQ, I've got you covered on what to wear!

Downtown Babe: Top // Backpack // Bandana // Shorts
--The girl who will be riding her bike downtown from bar to bar then going to see fireworks at her local park. The downtown babe is casual, cool, and will be spending her 4th of July with her girlfriends and isn't afraid of running into her ex.

Living on the Edge: Sunnies // Skort // Top // Sneakers
--For the girl who will be spending her 4th of July at a swanky rooftop party. Living on the edge chick isn't afraid to take fashion risks and is confident enough to wear a questionable pajama suit. Her 4th of July will be spent sipping cocktails and gazing at the fireworks.

City Chic: Jeans // Birks // iPhone Case // White Top
--This girl will be spending her 4th of July at the local park or BBQ with family and friends. She possibly has kids and doesn't like to get too dressed into the theme. Yet, she still wants to participate, so she throws on a classic all white outfit with touches of navy to get in the spirit.

Wherever you'll be spending your holiday make sure to take some time to remember what Independence Day is all about. xxoo

WHITE ON WHITE

There is something about the color white. It reminds me of feeling fresh, clean, and dreamy. It also reminds me of your wedding day and all the new beginnings you face. I haven't had a wedding day but I can image how that day will feel! The other day I was shopping with my mom and I couldn't help but gravitate toward the color white. While other times I have been pulled toward pastels or florals for summer I found myself reaching for those fresh whites.

Okay, I'll admit it...I love the idea of white jeans but they just haven't worked for me. I've purchased them, they look great in the store then when I get home I'm like "uhhhh why did I do that again?!" As much as I would love everything to work on my body type, it just doesn't. If I wanted to try a white pant, I would go for a wide leg trouser and that way my waist appears thinner.  However, if you can pull off the skinny white jeans above--more power to you & I may just be a little jealous. :)

Also--don't be scared of this white eyeliner above. Trust me... it's a game changer.  I place the eyeliner in my waterline to give my eyes a little pop. You can also use nude eyeliner. I have bad bags underneath my eyes and when I look extra sleepy I put this white eyeliner to use.

Have a great Thursday! xxoo

NEON HEELS

Top // Shades // Skirt // Clutch // Heels // Lips

Ice cream...there are so many flavors to choose from. Chocolate, vanilla, rocky road, coffee, mint choco chip, cookies n' creme, pistachio...okay now I'm hungry.  Since summer time is the time to really chow down on some cream I'm going to try to mix up my ice cream choice this year. You see, I'm usually a coffee or chocolate kinda of girl. Maybe I'll even put chocolate chips in my coffee ice--I know--WILD. But not this summer. Nope. I'm going to hit up the mint chocolate chip, cookies n' creme, & maybe good o'l vanilla (snoooooze).  I want to challenge my ice cream choices because I don't want to be stuck in the same old chocolate and coffee routine. Sometimes you need to take a few risks in life..even if its just ice cream.

Okay, now that I grew enough rolls to fill out this crop top above, let talk these shoes! I couldn't decide between the hot pink or the neon yellow for this outfit. It really could have gone either way. Also, the Roman Holiday Nars lipstick is my favorite! Ahh it is so pretty and hassle free--I would recommend it to anyone, it's simply the best. go get it..then come back and tell me how much you love it. K? K great thanks.

Let's Romp(er)

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 //

It is no secret that I love a good romper. & when I saw Danielle from We Wore What in this Cameo Romper I nearly fell over in my chair...hmm seriously it's amaze. A perfect way to beat the heat this summer is to throw on a romper & head out the door. Here I have picked out a few of my favs that I'm currently loving and/or drooling over.

1 // The colors in this Parker jumper are beautiful. I've only seen this baby online but I'm sure it's even better in person. Loovveeee

2 // Hi Zara--nice to meet you, I'm Martha. Yellow just screams summer time--I mean I talked about yellow platforms yesterday?! This romper is perfect for BBQ's this summer

3 // This tie-dyed trapeze romper looks so comfortable. I'm all about feeling comfortable esp. in the summer when it's so hot you even consider going naked to work. Welp, gotcha cover here...

4 // Hello Aussie Gold. This Finder Keepers Romper is beautiful--moving on.

5 // I know I shouldn't pick favorites...but I did. This Topshop Romper is undeniably chic. To the bust to the pleats in the front, this thing screams, "Take me out & play with me..." Ahh.. Okay, picking my jaw off the floor now

6 // Sequins & Rompers? Now most rompers you find tend to be more casual however this romper turns that myth upside down. Throw on nude or silver pumps and you are ready for a night on the town.

Have a great day as we all get back to the grind.

Zara Zig Zag

Happy Thursday! I'm excited it's almost the weekend so I'm dancing in the streets--literally.

Here is one of my favorite shift dresses from Zara I snatched up last fall. This dress carried me through the arizona 'winter' & is perfect for transitioning into spring/summer.

Hope everyone is having a bowww-utiful day
