FRIDAY FINDS // ALTUZARRA FOR TARGET

Preview the collection here

I'm a sucker for Target and designer collaborations because it allows us common people to have a taste of luxury. Joseph Altuzarra is a young designer in his early-30's who seems to dress women in their 30's and beyond. Although I find most of his pieces too sophisticated for my palette, I found some favorite pieces from his collection with Target. I love the fur vest, trench coat, ankle booties, pajama set, and the maxi dresses. The energy and excitement of a collection launch is enough to get out of bed on a foggy Sunday morning. So grab your girlfriend, mom, boyfriend, or even the homeless guy down the street because you're going to need extra hands (or elbows) and head to your local Target this Sunday, September 14th. Check online to find out if your local Target carries the collection and get there early!
Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by.

How was everyone's Labor Day Weekend?! If you follow me on Twitter you would know that I'm paying the price for my actions this weekend. This hangover is now on day two.

Ouch.

Needless to say...I think someone is ready for summer to end and fall to begin.

SLEEPWEAR

I admit, I have my fair share of old sorority tees that I tend to sleep in but nothing beats a cute pair of PJ's. How cute is this ASOS lace romper? When it comes to picking out nightwear I try to keep my clothing light weight because I tend to run hot at night. When you look cute at night I believe you have a better sleep because well, look good-feel good, right?! & this Wildfox eye mask--to die for! However, I foresee a DIY project instead of spending $28 on an eye mask. Hmm....creative juices are starting to flow.
Sleep tight bowutifuls.

OVERALLS

Overalls -Similar // Top // Heels // Necklace
Time to bust out the lolli pops, pig tails, jansports, & lunch pails because I'm wearing my overalls today.  I haven't worn overalls since I was a little girl and I was excited to see the trend come back to grown ups. School may be out for good (for me) but call the school bus because I'm looking like a little school girl. It is always nice to act like a kid sometimes & these overalls do just the trick.
My overall tricks...
1 // Make sure your top is simple either a solid color or striped tee. You can even try a crop top if ya have the bod for it
2 // Make sure your bottoms aren't too tight (unless they are meant to be tight/skinny bottoms)
3 // Don't be afraid to dress them down or up with either sneakers or heels

Thanks for reading & I hope you're having a wonderful week!

RAW

As the sun heats up I find myself staying indoors as much as possible.
Reasons why I go outside...
Work
Gym
Target (need razors for this weather!)
&
If there isn't any food in the fridge--obvi

Since I limit my time outdoors it is easy to get caught in my pajamas too often. I don't want to be a total slum this summer season so I am gravitating toward simple maxi dresses to throw on. I can still do house hold chores in these bad boys while still looking chic (win/win!) Also, I have strayed far away from that blow dryer---I like to call it the HEAT MONSTER. Why blow hot air on my already hot body?
 Uhm.. no thank you!
Hence, the messy/half straight hair-do I have going on here.

Makeup?
I keep my makeup minimal this season because it will probably melt off my face anyway. Pop on a bright lip to spring out of that summer slum. I went with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream to add to my minimal outfit. Whenever you are feeling in a slum and find that it is 3 p.m. and you haven't left your house or even changed out of your PJ's....throw on a maxi dress, bright lip, & mascara!

FRIDAY FINDS: BLOGUETTES

// image source //

Top -- Zara (old) // Shorts-- Target--Similar  // Sandals
// image source //

I am excited to share with you guys my experience at the Bloguettes workshop this week. The 2 day workshop took place at A Bloom Salon in downtown Phoenix (just a few minutes away from my house). It was really cute venue to get our creative juices flowing. The branding workshop applies to both bloggers and business owners to help create a brand through your online presence. My mind is overloaded with all the information they gave us, but it was worth it! The program is heavily based on Photoshop because it is such a powerful tool to help create your brand.  Photoshop will help me edit and create graphics that I wasn't able to do before. This way, I can save both time & money! (woohoo) However! I'm now swamped at my 'real' job trying to catch up from the two days I missed! & I'm missing more time away from work because I leave for Cali for the weekend! Whew--trust me, it was worth taking that time off but I'm now paying for it!

Some of my fav moments from the last couple of days...
1 // Lusting over everyone else's outfits (duhh)
2 // Learning tips & tricks in Photoshop
3 // Eating ChopShop everyday
4 // Goodie Bags
5 // Making friends & meeting a few that I've Instgramed stalked a few times... (guilty)
6 // Becoming a part of the Bloguettes community

I love that these girls are helping build the Phoenix blogging community & I look forward to going to some of their mini events in the future.
